(More customer reviews)These cookies are not "delicious" by any means. But I think it's ok because they're not meant to be delicious. They're meant to be good and healthy, which is what every kid needs, especially GFCF kids.
Pamela's cookies are delicious, but they're not healthy, so these are a good everyday snack for my son. They are a bit on the dry side but he doesn't seem to mind. I find myself snacking on them when I grab the box to put it away. So I can safely say they're not bad at all. Just not an indulgent sweet-tooth snack.

How something so healthy that is kosher, gluten free, peanut free and organic can taste so good. I have recommended this product to several of my friends whose children and/or grandchildren are allergic to peanuts, and the results are amazing. (More customer reviews)We've been gluten free and yeast free for a few years now. In the beginning we couldn't find a bread that resembled "real" bread. Then we tried this mix. The first week we had it we went into bread overload - made french toast, toast and eggs, sandwiches, everything we'd been wanting for the last few years. It was wonderful. I fill mini baking dishes, sprinkle it with sesame seed and use it to make hamburger buns. We prefer it hot from the oven or toasted for sandwiches, Very simple, too, just add water (that's it) beat for 3 minutes in mixer and you have 2 loaves of bread 40 minutes later. Just spent the day driving around to our local health food stores for it but they were all out. Amazon's cheaper anyway and has free shipping on this item.

(More customer reviews)This is a really good, really cheap gluten free corn flour. You can't use it to make polenta--that's corn meal, not corn flour. However, you can make skillet corn bread with this (put masa harina corn bread into Google, and it will pull up a couple of recipes--they also call for wheat flour, so substitute northern bean or white rice flour and a tsp of guar gum per cup of flour.)
If you're new to cooking gluten-free, watch out for cross-contaminated brands. This one is safe, because corn is the only thing they mill. It also says, "Gluten free" on the package. And, best of all, it's about a dollar a pound. (Brown rice flour costs twice that much.)

My son-in-law uses it to thicken his wonderful chili. He gave me the recipe, which I placed in Flavored with Love: Mary Lou's Family and Friends Can Cook. He's such a nice son-in-law. He would not want me to tell you this, but he is a great cook.
Maseca Corn Flour is made from ground, dried corn. It can be used to make masa harina (dough) for "tortillas, sopes and empanadas, enchiladas, pupusas, guaraches, arepas and atole," the manufacturer says. It is gluten free.
The manufacturer (the Gruma) company has been making this fine corn flour for over 50 years.

(More customer reviews)I sampled Bumble Bars around 10 years ago and have been craving them ever since. They weren't readily available for a long, long time, so I would order them directly from Bumble Bar, which has a discounted "offer of the month" if you sign up for their email notices. As with many products, don't buy a "flavor" with the expectation that it will taste like the flavor description. I recommend buying one of each flavor to determine your taste preference(s) before buying a whole box of an entire flavor. There are many flavors that I love (Original, Chai, Lushus Lemon) and I think the 5 original flavors are likely the best if you decide to buy this box of 15 with 5 flavors. Putting "flavors" to name, the Chocolate Crisp tastes nothing like chocolate, but is still good. I have tried the Cherry, Tropical Fruit etc. and while those are good, they weren't "wow" for me and the Cherry wasn't "cherry". So keep this name/flavor disconnect concept in mind and you'll more easily discover how to love the Bumble Bars! I have noticed that the more recent bars that I have gotten over the last 2 years are stickier and fall apart (too easily?) when you're trying to get them out of the package. I am not sure if that is by design (they changed the formula so these things would be easier for little kids to eat?) or what. They are still wonderful but I'd be happier with the old, less fragile recipe they used, so that you could actually eat it as a "bar", should you wish to do so...

They are absolutely adorable to look at, even cuter than real teddy grahams. Another plus, the cookies themselves are a little larger than teddy grahams. They do have a different taste, however. They are still yummy (esp to my 5 yr old), but definitely not the same as traditional ones and the chocolate chip taste is a little strange - not what I am used to. Still, they are tasty, and adorable to look at, and will totally please your gluten-free kid when they can't have teddy grahams.
