(More customer reviews)I discovered Planters Big Nut Bars - the Triple Nut variety - about two years ago. When they became hard to find at my local supermarket, I started ordering them by the case from Amazon. Now, Amazon only offers them through a third-party seller and the cost to have a case delivered has jumped from around $30.00 (give or take) to more than $80.00. I sent an email to Planters asking about their distribution problems, but never received a reply. Has anyone else had trouble finding these bars at a reasonable price? If you're still finding them - where? Needless to say, I like these bars very much.

Nougat (Latin Nux Gatum)has very distance origins. it is found mentioned in Arab manuscripts in the 12th century. Known as haloua or halwa (halva). But even earlier, Phoenicians spread the recipe as far as Turkey and Greece, Italy, Spain and more. In the Middle Ages, the white Nougat made in Marseille is famou and soon the entire Provence region and the South East of France starts making it. The most famous one is from Montelimar. The main ingredients are almonds, honey, stiffly beaten egg whites (where the characteristic white color comes from). The Chabert & Guillot company has been producing Nougat since the early 1800s. This tin is named for the Nationale 7, the main road in Montelimar, a scene of memorable traffic jams from holiday makers, who, thus stuck, discovered the famous candy! 250 gram reusable tin.

(More customer reviews)I sampled Bumble Bars around 10 years ago and have been craving them ever since. They weren't readily available for a long, long time, so I would order them directly from Bumble Bar, which has a discounted "offer of the month" if you sign up for their email notices. As with many products, don't buy a "flavor" with the expectation that it will taste like the flavor description. I recommend buying one of each flavor to determine your taste preference(s) before buying a whole box of an entire flavor. There are many flavors that I love (Original, Chai, Lushus Lemon) and I think the 5 original flavors are likely the best if you decide to buy this box of 15 with 5 flavors. Putting "flavors" to name, the Chocolate Crisp tastes nothing like chocolate, but is still good. I have tried the Cherry, Tropical Fruit etc. and while those are good, they weren't "wow" for me and the Cherry wasn't "cherry". So keep this name/flavor disconnect concept in mind and you'll more easily discover how to love the Bumble Bars! I have noticed that the more recent bars that I have gotten over the last 2 years are stickier and fall apart (too easily?) when you're trying to get them out of the package. I am not sure if that is by design (they changed the formula so these things would be easier for little kids to eat?) or what. They are still wonderful but I'd be happier with the old, less fragile recipe they used, so that you could actually eat it as a "bar", should you wish to do so...

(More customer reviews)This is by far the best sugar-free candy I have tried yet. I have tried other sugar free toffee candies and have found them to have a hard and chewy texture. Not so here! This is smooth and has that crunchcy, yet 'melt in your mouth' quality of the regular Almond Roca. If you like the regular but cannot tolerate sugar, then I highly reccomend this sugar free version! The only problem I have here is the outrageous shipping price. Try to find it local if you can.

These retail for about $2.29 each locally. Amazon's price is $19.96 for 12, that comes to $1.66 each. That's a good price. The only "problem" is that you have to buy a 12 pack ... that is, if you consider that a problem. ;)
Actually, my biggest "problem" with this chocolate is that I have to hide it from the rest of the family, or else they'll eat it all.

(More customer reviews)I really enjoy the flavor and texture of these candybars, but don't be fooled by the natural look of the product and packaging. These are all "treat" and no "snack". Nature Valley is blurring the lines between the once distinct categories of granola bars and candy bars. This product certainly falls into the latter category, but appears to be marketing itself into the first.
Ingredients include a host of flavor enhancers and sweeteners that "healthy snack bar" types might be trying to avoid.
We have 22g Carbs, 7g Fat, 3g Protien and 170mg of Sodium
"Glycemic Spike" and "Water Retention" come to mind...
Check out these ingredients:
High Maltose Corn Syrup is the second ingredient, sugar is the 4th, High fructose corn syrup is the 5th. Also in there is wheat flakes, fructose, honey, milk products and soy lecithin. As for the good stuff, we have almonds as the first ingredient, rolled oats as the third, crisp rice as the 6th. There are other ingredients as well, surely listed in the product description here on Amazon.
One peave regarding the product packaging which states that the bar is "dipped in almond butter coating". Well, I eat almond butter (instead of peanut butter). The "coating" they refer to is more of a white "sugary milk product coating" with a little almond mixed in. It is nothing like "almond butter".
Overall, this bar packs the salty sweet flavor punch it boasts and the texture is fun. Just beware (or be aware) of all those "other" ingredients when you buy.

The little nutty covering feels funny on your tongue and I think they just put it there to keep the toffee from being sticky as it does not contribute much to the overall flavor. These are not the deformed ones that they sell cheap--each one is beautiful and perfectly-formed. Buy a can for yourself and any Chinese or Filipino friends you have, and even for your girlfriend for Valentine's--the pink tin practically SHOUTS "Happy Valentines Day, I love you like a little toffee candy!!!!!"

(More customer reviews)I've not tried these from Amazon, but my local store occasionally carries the M&Ms almond. They are Terrific! I don't care for peanuts, but these almond candies are absolutely wonderful. And hey, they are protein too, so they are healthy for me!
Just like the peanut M&Ms, these almond M&Ms have a whole nut covered in a layer of chocolate with a hard candy shell. I find them most often at holidays (Wikipedia mentions Easter and Christmas) and they then come in appropriate colors. Pastels in the spring, and greens and reds at the Christmas season. Since an almond is a bigger nut than a peanut, these are slightly bigger candies than the peanut ones. They're not huge, just a bit bigger.
And they are equally as addicting as is any other flavor of M&M! (I recently tried dark chocolate M&Ms and loved them too.)

This candy is a great gift because it's cheap and not very common. If you like ferrero rocher, but don't want to pay the steep price and enjoy a kick of caramel, this is the perfect candy for you.
