(More customer reviews)When I was a 15 year-old German exchange student, the first place my German sister took me was to a tiny Konditorei called Niederegger in downtown Luebeck's old city. She carefully picked out from the glass case one marzipan potato for me to try. Never in my life had I tasted anything like that! Having lived there for 13 months at that time and returned to Germany and tried many kinds of marzipan, I can testify that Niederegger is quite simply the very best and that the potatoes are the very best of pure marzipan. For decades I could never acquire these delicacies, but now Amazon has broken through to online possibilities. Try some. Give some. You won't be disappointed. But remember, nowhere else do they make it like this!

What she doesn't ever seem to have enough of is chocolate and marshmallows :) I sent this two-tin box set to her for Christmas, and got to see the product for myself (and maybe enjoyed a sample;) when we visited her shortly after the holiday. The fact that each smore is individually wrapped is a good thing, as I know they will keep longer if she chooses not to eat them all in one sitting :)

(More customer reviews)My friends describe me as a chocoholic. I describe myself as a dark chocolate-snob. I like seeking out single varietals and interesting flavors. I prefer straight chocolate over chocolate with "stuff" in it but I really like this flavor. A lot.
I first had it at a food and wine pairing and the chef brought it for us to try. I had to get a wrapper and seek it out for myself.
My mother who is also hard to please (food and flavor-wise) really likes it too. I tend to buy it by the dozen and share with friends because I can't find this flavor at stores near by that carry other Theo's products.
