It is sweet and does have the faint taste of coconut. It's one of those candies that is really hard to put down and not eat the whole bag.

Roland Sliced Crystallized Ginger, 6-Pound Can Review

Unlike the first and second the third was shipped by UPS and was mildly dented, but that is not a concern for *this* type of product. The third canister contained soggy-ish "dried" ginger with a disturbingly high frequency of dark spotting on the ginger slices. Before discovering the less than awesome quality of the third container I had already purchased two more containers. I am hoping five and six will be the fame FANTASTIC QUALITY of container one!
(will edit when I find the locations of the two respective fulfillment warehouses)
Be aware that the canisters reveal their origin: CHINA. This information was not on the amazon product page at time of purchase :( I hope my ginger is not seasoned with lead.UPDATE:
Canister five was severely damaged in shipping thanks to change for the worse in amazon shipping policy. The giner in canister five was exposed to air. As a food product I insisted on replacement. Eventually after shaming amazon via [...]they condescended to ship a replacement. The replacement canister was cosmetically damaged but air tight. Canister six was similarly dented but air tight. Canister six ginger had a higher "thread count".

Amazon seems to have a policy of not-bothering to include sufficient padding according to UPS/FedEx guidelines. Their bean counters hope the customer will absorb losses from goods damaged in shipping. I insist my new items arrive in new condition: padding on ALL SIX box surfaces.

I have never had better quality chocolate (okay I have had some amazing Swiss chocolate). All their products are excellent, we really love the black sesame crunch, especially my Arabic husband, who may be a little bit of a sesame seed snob. Did I mention this is GLUTEN FREE!!! Bissinger's web site specifies gluten free on many items. The service from Bissinger's is truly 5 star.

After resisting ALL milk chocolate candy for several years now and even being able to resist the See's candy assortments we frequently receive as gifts, (making it fairly easy to keep slim and healthy) I only occasionally indulge in a DARK chocolate Ritter Hazelnut bar once every few months. However, I may NOW choose a piece of candy over my usual Laughing Cow Cheese for a snack IF (and only IF) someone offers me the original Milk Chocolate Tobleron. After having tried their "dark chocolate concession to better health?", I found it's not (and two bars of the dark chocolate Tobleron sit untouched).

(More customer reviews)Delicious! The pecan-almond-peanut combination is simply wonderful. I love almonds, but some of the products out there are too hard that is scary that it may break your teeth. The almonds they use here are not hard at all. They are formed in little cubes that is a perfect bite size. They added some sugar for a slightly sweetened taste.
I like that the product is 100% natural, no preservatives, no artificial flavors, and no artificial coloring. Likewise, some nutrition facts that you may want to know; Each serving is has 170 calories, total fats at 20%, saturated fat at 11%, dietary fiber at 10%, has a few vitamins included too. In regards to fats content; they are nuts, so what do you expect?
The packet has a neat recloseable zip. One thing I notice is that there are more than a few broken clusters crumbs that settle at the bottom.

Boy was I surprised at the flavor! Same light salt, but the dry roasting is different, resulting in much better taste. As with all dry roasted edemame, you don't want to be eating this without your favorite drink next to you, as it can get really dry.

I really like the taste of these, and their 22g of protein is the highest content of any of the protein bars that I regularly eat - Cliff Builder, Kashi, and Promax being the others. They are also fairly high in electrolytes with 360mg of Sodium and 260mg of Potassium, and these are important to those who train hard and need the extra minerals. The one downside to these is that their sugar content (at least in part) comes from corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup. The other products that I mentioned avoid this by using more natural sources such as evaporated cane juice. Because of the sweetener, I do not use any of the Snickers products as my primary protein bars. I use them more as a change of pace to keep from burning out on the others. For the more nutritious conscious, I would recommend products from Cliff, Kashi, or Promax. While these are better than a regular candy bar, you can still do better.

Being a type 2 diabetic and trying to watch my carbs and calories, these are good snacks that satisfy my sweet-tooth cravings without overly spiking up my blood sugar levels. The real test with any "good for you" snacks is if my teens will eat them, and they also love them!
These are made from real fruit (and nothing else) that has been sliced and freeze dried, making them crispy (exactly like "Astronaut Ice Cream") but they will reconstitute in your mouth if you leave them in long enough. This process also makes them very flavorful.
This variety pack has an assortment of 3 different types, Fuji Apple, Strawberry Banana, and Asian Pear.
Fuji Apple:
About 1 1/2 Apples per pack

I decided to buy one of each flavors at my local grocery store before I buy a pack of 12 here on amazon. In my opinion, the Chocolate Turtle ones are the best tasting and closest to an actually candy bar.
The toasted pecans on the outside are what makes this bar my favorite. And its good for you health wise!! 6g of Fiber and 12g of Protein.
