(More customer reviews)This Sugar Free "Dark Chocolate Macadamia Bark" is by far the best tasting diabetic friendly candy I have ever tried! I was excited when this said no Maltitol since that causes me "gastric distress". That being said, it does contain the sweetener oligofructose which can cause extreme flatulence in some people (sadly me included - it is almost cartoon funny), so it looks like my quest for the perfect sugar free chocolate candy continues.
Pros:
+ Really Good Tasting; just about indistinguishable from regular candy - my kids even like it
+ Macadamia Nuts; has a lot of nuts and they taste great!
+ Low Carb; only 2.5 Net carbs for a reasonable size piece
Cons:
- Contains Oligofructose; which causes the similar gastric issues as Maltitol in some people
- Pricey; somewhat expensive
It should be noted that my kids tolerate both Maltitol and Oligofructose without the gastric reactions, so this MIGHT be OK for you.
I still put this in the "Recommended" category since it so very good tasting and doesn't effect everyone the way it effects me.

(The rights were sold in 1913 to Edward Noble, and it was under him that they really gained their nationwide popularity.) The original Life Savers were peppermint, and the well-known fruit flavors began to appear in 1929.
Well, they have once again hit on a new idea - Life Savers Fruit Tarts! These excellent little candies (a little smaller than the regular Life Savers, the size of mints, really) come in quirky tins, and in an assortment of flavors. The fruit tarts in these tins come in three flavors - Watermelon, Cherry-Lemonade, and Mandarin Orange.
I hate the sour candies that begin with a burst of tasteless sour, and then suddenly become sickeningly sweet candies. Well, I don't know how they did it, but they are nice and tart, and stay tart until you suck them down to nothing! Now, what is my favorite of these three flavors? Well, sometimes I think it's the Watermelon, and sometimes the Cherry-Lemonade...and sometimes the Mandarin Orange. I can't help it, they all taste great!
So, if you want a great tasting tart candy, then get these Life Savers, they are GREAT!

they are an extremely potent small mint. they remind me of the ones starbucks used to sell which i would swear by. they're peppermint and keep my mouth feeling clean and fresh. there isnt the aftertaste as with say altoids or what not.
the package is a small metal tin which fits in your pocket easily. dimensions are 2W x 1.5L x .5D. inside the tin the mints are wrapped in a plastic bag to "preserve and protect the high quality".
oh and they're sugar free. love these things.

It is also sugar free, so will not cause cavities like the other licorice gums that usually contain sugar.
I had to take away 1 star as the gum is not as long lasting as I'd like.
But I also like that it is mentioned where the gum is made-in Turkey....not in China at least!
The price is also great!
I am also confused with the amount listed as when I bought it I called and was told you received 36 packages....so 3 boxes with 12 packages of gum in each.
Yes that is not a type-o it really was/is THIRTY SIX packages.
But maybe call first just to c onfirm in any case if they do change the listing.
Another thing, before I forget the gum has absolutely no mint in it. It is only black licorice flavour.
-I've seen licorice and mint together in gum before though...

I've used it in candies, gelatin desserts and cakes and everyone has loved it. I have not had call to use the star anise yet but the others have all been very good Like most ginger extracts this one has a slightly odd smell in the bottle but that is not evident when used. the chocolate extract has a pretty True flavor and intensifies the flavor of chocolate chip cookies a lot.

A rich praline pecan flavor with hints of vanilla, this syrup is sweet and delicious without being cloying. The thick, slow pouring syrup offers a nice mouthfeel similar to that of "regular" pancake syrup, a nice switch from the watery, too-thin textures of some sugar-free products.
A special bonus is the natural flavoring--no off tastes, no strange chemicals!
It's important to note that the sweetener here is maltitol, a "sugar alcohol" that can, for some, create gastrointestinal discomfort in large amounts (20-30 grams/day). I don't have this experience (perhaps because I don't consume such large amounts), and I appreciate that maltitol is not carcinogenic... A little online research from credible sources may be useful if you're concerned about this issue.
