When they became hard to find at my local supermarket, I started ordering them by the case from Amazon. Now, Amazon only offers them through a third-party seller and the cost to have a case delivered has jumped from around $30.00 (give or take) to more than $80.00. I sent an email to Planters asking about their distribution problems, but never received a reply. Has anyone else had trouble finding these bars at a reasonable price? If you're still finding them - where? Needless to say, I like these bars very much.

Being a type 2 diabetic and trying to watch my carbs and calories, these are good snacks that satisfy my sweet-tooth cravings without overly spiking up my blood sugar levels. The real test with any "good for you" snacks is if my teens will eat them, and they also love them!
These are made from real fruit (and nothing else) that has been sliced and freeze dried, making them crispy (exactly like "Astronaut Ice Cream") but they will reconstitute in your mouth if you leave them in long enough. This process also makes them very flavorful.
This variety pack has an assortment of 3 different types, Fuji Apple, Strawberry Banana, and Asian Pear.
Fuji Apple:
About 1 1/2 Apples per pack

Strawberry Banana:
About 1 Banana and 4 Strawberries per pack

I like the Asian Pears the best, but all of the flavors are really good. The Strawberries can be a little tart which is different and not displeasing to me.
These are a good tasting healthy snack alternative that, if it wasn't for the fairly high cost, I would keep on hand all of the time!

I decided to buy one of each flavors at my local grocery store before I buy a pack of 12 here on amazon. In my opinion, the Chocolate Turtle ones are the best tasting and closest to an actually candy bar.
The toasted pecans on the outside are what makes this bar my favorite. And its good for you health wise!! 6g of Fiber and 12g of Protein.

This will last a while cause you get a total of 72 snack packs with 2 boxes. Each box has 36 packs - 12 mixed berry, 12 cherry, and 12 strawberry. I find them to be sweet but not too sweet. It has a great chewy texture - not too soft and not too hard. The taste is very good. For me one pack lasts about 2-3 servings as I take a small handful for each serving. Stick these in the refrigerator - they're good cold.

This bar is tasty, filling and good for you. I love them and have one for breakfast every morning with a cup of brewed chai with almond milk.
I am looking to eat free of wheat/gluten/yeast and this bar fits the bill. Only 9 grams of sugar (compared to the 15 - 30 grams that other bars contain), plus 5 grams of fiber and 6 grams of protein. The ingredients are organic and the hint of spice is very nice.
I highly recommend!

I especially like the peanut and sesame flavors. As I write this, I note that this sampler is not available. I hope that changes soon: I need to replenish my stock.
By the way, my job is not a nine-to-five sit-in-the-office sort. One or two of these will keep me on my feet and full of energy without sugar let-down or carb crash. Your mileage may vary, of course.
