(More customer reviews)When I first bit into this chocolate-wrapped peanut butter creme-filled cake called a "Funny Bone," I was only 7 years old and lived in Middletown, N.Y. I was hooked from the first package that I ate. I wanted more, but as a child you're only allowed so much sugar (as is the correct way to raise a child to eat). Now that I'm old enough to eat more without going super-hyper, I can't find them. It's been hard looking for them in my previous home of North Carolina, and even harder trying to find them in my current home of Virginia. The only way to buy a box now would be to pay almost $30 for it!? It would be unacceptable to mark a less-than-$4 product up that high (w/shipping combined) if these cakes didn't taste so damn good. Drake's, if you can read this, stop playing and start creating more distribution points to sell these delicious (and normally affordable) cakes to more than just the great people of New York.

Wilton White Liquid Color Review

(More customer reviews)I use butter in my frosting recipe that has a very yellow tone to it, and I didn't want to buy new, clear vanilla extract, so I bought this whitener.
This does what it's supposed to, it whitens up my frosting, and the research I did on it says that it's safe to use.
The only thing that doesn't seem to add up is, the instructions say it is to be used in small quantities.
I find that a small quantity (a teaspoon, for instance) of it doesn't make much of a dent, color wise, in a regular batch of my frosting.
It's also not clear why they tell you to use it in small quantities in the first place because I'd venture to guess it's used in large quantities in TONS of foods.
I use about three tablespoons and that seems to be enough.
I've used it repeatedly with satisfactory results, and would buy it again.

She always came with a big box of italian goodies and tasting your torrone candy took me back to my childhood and having my grandma back again. I miss her so much. I will definitely be ordering more Torone candy.I am not a fan of chocalate and the different flavors of torrone plus having almonds in the candy scores a #1 with me and my husband.

(More customer reviews)I love this candy! It has a pleasant, mildly sweet (rice flour) taste and the texture is similar to a powdered, soft gummy bear. The melon flavor is mild and sweet (not sour). This candy may be an acquired taste for someone who is accostumed to mainstream, super-sweet American candy. The texture may take some getting used to and the taste of rice flour may not appeal to some. All that said, I've been trying to find this candy for several years but because I didn't know the name of it, I've been making-do with my memories. Now that I've found a merchant, I plan on buying a stockpile.

(More customer reviews)I've had this candy all my life at Christmas time in OH. I moved to CA and I couldn't find the La Florantine brand. I tried a couple of others and was really disappointed. They were good, but not as good, not the flavors you get with La Florentine, and the individual wrapping keeps the candy fresh for a long time.
Our local Italian store, DeVitis, which is so fantastic you can't believe the quality and prices, sells the nougat candy for $8 a box. Enjoy!
