I didn't tell her it was coming, so when I received a very happy message on my phone from her I was thrilled to hear how much she loved it. She was even chewing on some candy while leaving the message, which just made me smile. When I called her back, she told me several stories about many of the candies inside, including the few good memories she has of her dad. She took the box to work and it was a hit.

He and my grandmother talked forever about the candy and different situations about the past in relation to the candy. There was not a ton of candy. I like it for the price but tend to like the hometown favorites vendor a little better as far as responsiveness, packaging and amount of candy received.

(More customer reviews)To get a full box of "nostalgic candy", my order was supplemented with a good amount of current items such as starbursts, skittles, etc. There was variety in the older candy, though the condition of some of it was quetionable - the candy cigarettes box was less than half full and broken. Dates of candy are also wildly varied - bubble tape to Charleston chews to things we couldn't even identify. Still glad I bought it - made for a good time, though don't expect the ultimate in qualty; some of it is 30 years old after all.

The amount you see in the image is probably not even a good representation of what you're getting. Although some of your favorites might be missing, it's a good walk down memory lane.
The husband of the receiver of this gift liked it so much he was going to buy another later in the year for his sister. It was a definite hit, and they're still eating the candy.
