(More customer reviews)To get a full box of "nostalgic candy", my order was supplemented with a good amount of current items such as starbursts, skittles, etc. There was variety in the older candy, though the condition of some of it was quetionable - the candy cigarettes box was less than half full and broken. Dates of candy are also wildly varied - bubble tape to Charleston chews to things we couldn't even identify. Still glad I bought it - made for a good time, though don't expect the ultimate in qualty; some of it is 30 years old after all.

When we had 4 different stores where we could go and gaze at all the variety of candy to spend our meager allowance on. If you are looking for nostalgia, try bottle caps. 50's Decade Box Gift Basket - Classic 50's Candy Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered the 50's Gift Basket for my parents. I ordered it a couple of weeks before Christmas and the package did arrive. However, when I asked my Mom how she liked it, she told me that there were a few items missing. The packing slip had listed what all should be in there, and the following were NOT there: charms assorted squares,smoothie peanut butter cup, cherry mash, chocolate cigarettes, walnettos.
I sent an email to Hometown Favorites on 12/17/07 telling them that these items were missing and requested they satisfy my order. As of today, 1/2/08 I have not heard back from them.
Needless to say, I will NOT purchase anything further from their company...and would suggest you do the same!
