(More customer reviews)I used to eat this hot cereal during winters as a kid. My mother made it with whole milk, honey, and margarine or butter. Yum! Now, 40+ years later, I still find this a wonderful winter morning treat. Now, I add 1% milk and honey, and skip the margarine/butter. Still tastes great! Funny, I've tried Cream of Wheat, which I can find easily in any supermarket, but don't really like it. Cream of Rice has gotten harder and harder to find in supermarkets. So, I'm pleased to find it available via Amazon!

(More customer reviews)Okay, fine, grits are (is?) not for everyone.
It takes time to cook them, including some pamper time. Stirring frequently is de rigeur.
When they're laid on the plate, next to eggs and a couple strips of bacon, or some sausage, and a nice Southern biscuit... oh, Gawd, take meh now!
These are good grits, and if you have no patience for this type of food, or no taste for it, pass on by.
If you like grits, it gets no better than this.
In fact, one may cook these grits, and toward the end of the cook cycle throw in some eggs.
Num.

(More customer reviews)I have been eating Wheatena for over 60 years. It's the most hearty, tasty, filling, cereal I have ever found. Now, because of cholesterol concerns, I mix the dry cereal with oat bran for its soluble fiber, and quinoa for its complete protein (helps cut down on animal protein). I eat the cooked combination with soy milk. I can't find Wheatena in stores all the time so I'm thankful that I can get it via Amazon.com.

(More customer reviews)This is the great cereal of my childhood (which used to be produced in a town named "Wheatenaville", honest! It has tons of fiber and a nutty taste and really stick-to-the-ribs breakfast. Even my little 18 month old grandson loves it.
Glad I could find it at Amazon. However, one caveat: the price that its sold at plus shipping makes this a gourmet indulgence indeed. Buyer, beware. You've gotta love it to buy it. However, I bought a case of it anyway.

More oatmeal is contained in this bowl than in the individual pouches.
The Golden Brown Sugar is my favourite flavour. It is delicious!
This product is highly recommended.
