i was really happy to find these on amazon. For some reason they haven't been available in North America for about 5 years. I thought the packages that came in the case of 36 were going to be a larger size, but that's not a big deal. Package was delivered quickly and everything was as it should be.

Cadburys Flake Case of 24 Review

Cadburys Flake Case of 24

A friend gave me my first Flake over 20 years ago. Her father had brought home a precious handful of them from a business trip to the UK. Boy, she must have really loved me to give me one of my very own!
Cadbury makes good chocolate, but what sets these apart is how they are made. Of course - they are flaky. They are so fragile, they will fall apart in your hand really easily. Because of this fragility, they also melt in your mouth very nicely.
One of the best (and I think this may be traditional) ways to indulge with a Flake is to stab it into a malt or milk shake and then let it fall apart. Yum!

The crumbliest flakiest milk chcoclate. The Cadbury Flake bar was originally launched in 1920. The concept of the Flake was discoved by a Cadbury employee who filled the chocolate moulds. Once the moulds were full, the excess chocolate used to spill over

If you like seafoam candy you'll like this candy bar. I first had them when I found them in the Prince George Costco. They are not overly sweet and have an interesting consistency compared to candy bars in the US. At over $1/bar I'd never buy them from Amazon.

The Crunchie is a plank of dense honeycomb "sponge candy" covered in milk chocolate. While sponge would make you think that it's somehow soft and yielding like marshmallow, this is hard and will shatter into shards when smacked. The honeycomb has an inconsistent texture, as shown in the photo. There's a center stripe of sparkly, very crunchy honeycomb. The margins have a smaller bubble size. Still, it's heavier than the other Sponge Candy from Parkside Candy and the Violet Crumble. In Canada, we've made the Crunchie* candy bar our own. Today each Crunchie bar delivers a sweet taste thanks to crisp sponge toffee, covered in a delicious Cadbury milk chocolatey coating. As part of our Canadian Cadbury family, Crunchie is made at our Cadbury Gladstone Chocolate Factory in Toronto. Quick FactsThe Crunchie bar was originally launched by Fry's - a separate chocolate business most famous for its Fry's Turkish Delight and Fry's Cream which later merged with Cadbury.

Every kid in the Uk knows what these are. They are often the first chocolate that a infant will try after the white chocolate version. They are milk chocolate drops of the same milk chocolate as the normal Cadburys Milk Chocolate Bar. The packets are just the right size and shouldn't spoil an appetite.

Cadbury Crunchie 1.4oz Review

Cadbury Crunchie 1.4oz

I'm British, and this is one of the most popular candy bars in the UK (along with Cadbury's Flake). This bar does not contain either rice or 'popping candy' as stated in the description. Crunchie bars are old-fashioned 'honeycomb toffee' otherwise known as 'cinder toffee' covered in creamy milk chocolate. Honeycomb toffee is basically a regular toffee to which a very small amount of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda is added, causing the toffee to puff up into an airy, crunchy, light toffee full of tiny holes. The tiny amount of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda added does not adversely affect the toffee taste.

Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bars, 6-Count Review

Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bars, 6-Count

This is a difficult review for me because I love the Cadbury Flake bars. However, the bars I received from Trade Concepts are stale and brittle. I thought I'd cut cost instead of having a friend send them to me. You get what you pay for. Instead of my tasty flakey chocolately bar, I got a flat, pale looking crumbling mess (except for the places where it had melted and fused together). In all Flake is an excellent product. I'd give it 4.5 stars. But you have to be careful of the seller. It might be better to buy them from an import gourmet food store or have someone in the UK (if you know someone) mail them to you. I've learned my lesson.

Mars Maltesers 37g x 5 Pack Review

Mars Maltesers 37g x 5 Pack

BEWARE! These are highly addictive! I became obsessed with them on a trip to Scotland. The chocolate is wonderful- not that waxy coating you'd find on US malted milk balls. It is real, sweet, creamy chocolate, and the malted milk centers are to die for!

Maltesers are a spherical malt honeycomb centre, surrounded by milk chocolate. They are most popular in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Japan. Maltesers' are 'the lighter way to enjoy chocolate'.Maltesers, originally known as Energy Balls, were invented by Forrest Mars Sr. in 1936. The current name is a portmanteau of the words "malt" and "teasers". Despite the spelling, there is no connection with the nation of Malta or Maltese people. The mystery of how the chocolate covers the porous biscuit centre is a closely guarded secret.
