(More customer reviews)These candies are so great. The texture is almost like taffy, the ginger has a real nice bite. Not too sugary. Perfectly balanced ginger chews. Have not tried the other flavors so can't compare. I am sure they are all delicious. Bag looks little, but the candies are so flavorful that you don't need a lot so the 3oz. bag lasts a long time. Delish.

They are so good - hard to describe why this brand is so much better - maybe it's the mango. If you are lucky enough to get your hands on a box then you really must try them. I keep a notification on my computer to let me know when and where I can find them. I bought a case the last time and buzzed right through them within a month (plus I used them as stocking stuffers).

(More customer reviews)I found this tasty candy on vacation, but alas there are some drawbacks to small town shopping. That's why I was happy to find these available on Amazon. It is a very strong flavor, not sugared up for general consumption. If you're a fan of the instense flavors found in Altoids, you'll appreciate Chimes. The peanut butter may cut the bitterness of ginger, but in no way distracts from the intense flavor. And when the candy is gone, you have a nifty tin for sewing notions, little bits of hardware, or any sundry of small things in need of a sturdy box in which to hold them.

And yes, ginger does help indigestion and nausea caused by motion sickness, chemotherapy, morning sickness etc. One study shows ginger to even reduce pain due to osteoarthritis of the knee too. Because ginger can affect blood clotting, people on blood thinners need to be careful not to consume too much.
This candy has two major downsides: each candy is 20 calories - way too much; and 7 layers of wrapping! Cardboard box, then plastic wrapper around each of the two cardboad boxes, with 6 smaller cardboard packages, each wrapped in plastic, and then each individual candy in two wrappings. You will feel very guilty consuming this candy if you really care about the environment. Does it really need 7 layers of wrapping?
If they can formulate ginger candy with a trace of honey in one or at the most two wrappings, it will be great buy. But as it is now, I don't think I am going to buy again.

I have a tendency toward motion sickness so always have some in my car or handbag. The 11 lb option makes it a more economical purchase. I then re-bag them into sandwich size bags so they're easy to carry around. I have purchased seconds from Ginger People directly and they were ok. I like the sealed packaging for these. I thought maybe they were smaller than the ones wrapped more in paper but they're the same thing.

(More customer reviews)These are my favorite candies of all time! I love the spicy, chewy flavor. It's so hard to find delicious Ginger foods and candies (except online) and I'm so happy that Amazon started carrying these products by the Ginger people. I usually purchase the little tiny bags at a specialty store and it is $5.99 for a really small bag of candies.
I melt these in a cup of boiling water for a really delicious late-night tea. These are great for nausea, too.
Great for travel sickness, great for morning sickness, and just great taste when you want a really spicy candy. I love them! The pilots use them.
