(More customer reviews)Sweet and Sara is one of my favorite makers of vegan treats. Their vegan marshmallows are amazing--soft, sweet (but not overly sweet), a sort of creamy taste--just delicious. I don't know what chocolate they use for these, but it is creamy and melty (in your your mouth). Add in some almonds and you have Sweet and Sara Rocky Road Bark. My entire family (vegans and non-vegans) love these. I bought some for Thanksgiving and then again for Christmas this year, and they didn't last long. These are the best vegan chocolate combined with the best vegan marshmallows and yummy almonds. Simply heavenly and delicious. Note: The first time I bought these, I ordered directly from Sweet and Sara online. Ordering was easy and the order arrived quickly. The second time I ordered from Pangea through Amazon with the same result. These are yummy whichever way they arrive at my house.

(More customer reviews)A nice option for vegans and non-vegans alike. Though I am yet to see a true vegan replacement for the classic Kit-Kat, this is a worthy try for those who miss their days of eating milk products.
It is not especially sweet, and has only a subtle bitter flavor we usually expect from dark chocolates. Before getting the 25-pack, I'd recommend heading to your local Whole Foods, Mrs. Greens, or other health food store to find an individual pack, as they may not be for everyone.
If you like this, you may like products from 'Go Max Go' as they succeed in imitating some of the other classic chocolate bars of our youth. Warning: None of these products are especially healthy, and usually are full of saturated fat. At least they are organic and do not contain trans fats...
Enjoy, and go (or stay) VEGAN!

(More customer reviews)Okay, being a chocoholic and a vegan, with vegan siblings, nephews, etc... is difficult. I first bought Sjaak's at a vegan grocery in Portland (long live Food Fight!!), and brought them home to the peeps. Without dairy, some vegan chocolate is waxy... some is dry and bitter... and many are either too sweet or not sweet enough. So, what's a vegan chocoholic Goldilocks to do? Order these and keep them on hand. They are delicious-- smooth and creamy, and just sweet enough. They satisfy a chocolate craving with just one "square", but if you're hungry and you eat the whole thing, it will only cost you 270 calories, which is about the same amount as a bag of M&M's... for more chocolate satisfaction.
I have become bad auntie, bearer of these chocolate bars that my vegan nephews do not have to resist. I give them a square or two, and they thank me with gooey, cocoa colored 3 and 7 year old smiles and sticky hugs.
PS: You don't have to be vegan to enjoy these. I have a non-vegan chocoholic brother who's opening line when he stops by is usually, "Hi. Got any chocolate?" He happily eats these without complaint.

Palm kernel oil is not only unhealthy, even worse, it has altered the flavor and texture of the "Chew-ets." In the past, Goldenberg's chews had a great dark chocolate coating, worthy of savoring. The new Peanut Chews have a waxy, overly sweet chocolatish coating. The candy inside is not as satisfyingly tough, richly molasses flavored, or chewy as before. Goldenberg's Peanut Chews remain better than most candies, I'm not going to give them away. These Goldenberg's Peanut Chews do not evoke former, memorable deliciousness like Proust's madelaines.

G&B's bar tastes like an infusion of orange rind, light spices, and, of course, chocolate! This bar melts in your mouth like no other and is more than worth the extra cost.
A nice bonus is that this bar is Fair Trade certified, so you know that you're buying a chocolate bar that was purchased for a living wage to the farmers that grew the cocao. I love all of G&B's products, and I think you'll like this one too!

Goldenberg Peanut Chews - Bulk bag 225 count Review

(More customer reviews)These peanut chews are addictive but very hard to find--Just Born needs to get its distribution act together. They taste great--not too sweet, and the molasses in the caramel that binds the peanuts together really goes well with the dark/bittersweet chocolate coating. They also have a great "mouth appeal" when you bite into them and then choose how you will savor each half. I've tried the milk chocolate coated ones too, but they are not half as good. Enjoy!
