(More customer reviews)It's fun sending Boston-themed gifts to friends in California and the west coast. We've had good luck with this vendor, our shipments have arrived in a timely manner to gift recipients.
I used to cringe just a little at the costs of these specialized gift baskets until I got the idea to create my own. So I went to Portsmouth (New Hampshire), Kittery, and assorted gift stores in the Boston area looking for Boston-related items for my own gift baskets. What I found is that all of these items are expensive when purchased individually (for example, a bag of gummy lobsters were $4 to $7 everywhere I saw them). It has given me a renewed appreciation for Massachusetts Bay Trading Co baskets / mugs / tins etc.
It is definitely worth it to just send one of these baskets rather than running all over trying to assemble one and ending up spending more.
