(More customer reviews)This is an excellent chocolate bar that you will want to keep the whole box for yourself. The chocolate is not bitter and just the right amount of slight sweetness. The box I received does not expire until 02/09, but I doubt they will last that long. Hopefully when it gets closer to Valentine's Day,Amazon will carry them again. They were an incredible bargain price for 73% cocoa, under 2 dollars each for a 3.2 ounce bar. Wonderful!

(More customer reviews)I like the taste of almonds in a chocolate bar more than hazelnuts, no nuts, fruit and nuts, or other nuts (though macadamia comes close); and I don't like whole almonds or almond dust as much as substantial pieces. I also like medium chocolate flavor more than superdark or milk. I've tried about ten brands, including very expensive ones, and I judge Dove to be the best within that framework of preferences. And not just the best of a poor lot; excellent!

(More customer reviews)this is my favourite chocolate ever. creamy melt in your mouth texture..plus the little squares are domed and fit perfectly against the roof of your mouth (each one has a little heart on it too). nice dark flavour without the bitterness that can happen in the REALLY dark ones. i like the darker ones too, but this is my favourite percentage. the flavoured ones are really yummy as well. my boyfriend is also addicted to this brand. maybe you don't think you need to buy twelve at a time, but i think it's a great idea!

They are packed with peanuts, and the dark toffee is a great alternative to the common milk chocolate. They are so good!! When I was home in Calgary recently I bought a big box at Costco. You have to try these if you like peanuts and dark chocolate.

I shared a few in the office and everyone was on-line seeing how to order it. The outside is a crunchy kind of cookie filled with nutella (which is a sweet kind of nut cream)that is a favorite in Europe. Even has a cute hippo face.

(More customer reviews)Dark chocolate is not for everyone because it's a little on the bitter site and it's hard so 'milk chocolate' could be the next best thing, if you don't mind the 'extras' as shown below. This specific bar (1.30 oz.) is pretty close to what the doctor would have ordered, had the doctor known that 'chocolate' is now classified as a 'super food' - don't know what that means precisely (probably lots of anti-oxidants) or who did the classifying. I am showing in the specs below how this bar is different from Dove's 1.3 oz. dark chocolate bar with the 'dark' value in parentheses whenever different.
And here are the specs:
- 190 (200) calories
- 12g total fat
- 7g saturated fat
- 17g (20g) sugars
- 0 transfats
- 25mg (0) sodium
- 5 mg cholesterol
Like the 'dark' version, it's quite filling so, while I enjoy my Dove bar, I don't crave for a second. Which is a good thing, only sweeter.
