These now and laters are ALSO made in MEXICO :(
If you don't mind the "produced in mexico" on every bar -- conveniently not in sellers image -- and if you don't mind 'corn syrup' as the first ingredient (followed by 'sugar') then you will be happy with this purchase
OT coke made in mexico contains no corn syrup

This is likely why this item was less costly that the other very similar Now and Later Banana: amazon id B0028MFNVO (edit: no. that other amazon id is shipped by Candy Crate. The Candy Crate item is ALSO made in MEXICO, but not fulfilled by amazon. This item is a better deal as it is fulfilled by amazon thereby eligible for free shipping -- made in mexico either way)
I do not eat food made in mexico as a policy of good health.
Yeah, sure, it is an American company, and there might well be standards to which they aspire, but that's not for me.

edit: I have increased my star rating to 4 as some other people here are happy with the candy. According to those indifferent to country of origin the candy tastes exactly like every other banana now and later ever eaten.

Now and Later is a fruit-flavored taffy-like product. Although it is hard to chew when you first place it in your mouth, it softens while you eat it.
