(More customer reviews)This bar is for the pure cacao aficionado. If you like to taste the subtle nuances of flavor in your chocolate bar, look no further. This is by far the best chocolate I have ever eaten. Too bad there's not much of a discount on Amazon, or I would be buying it regularly online instead of from the grocery store.
I have tried Lindt 85% (pretty low quality), Ghirardelli 86% (also low quality), Endangered Species 88% (pretty good), Dagoba 87% (excellent), Taza Stone Ground 80% (I got a batch where it tasted like they burnt the beans, but supposedly it's good), Green & Black's 85% (pretty good), Côte d'Or (low quality), and Hershey's (rubbish).

(More customer reviews)This chocolate is vegan, ethical, and sublime. I only wish that they would disclose more details about the blend.
Very balanced. Not overly acidic like Lindt. Not overly bass-y like others. More flavorful and better ingredients list than Green & Blacks (our favorite before finding Theo).
We had been buying one bar per week, and decided it would make more sense to buy more at a time for less money overall. We're glad we did. It turns out that the bars from Amazon are actually fresher than those we were finding in our local shops, which means improved flavor.
Highly recommended!

(More customer reviews)I was delighted to find Theo chocolate on amazon.com. I can no longer have chocolate with soy in it (which all common brands of chocolate have); Theo is soy-free. I had found Theo chocolate at a store 2 hours from my home but dreaded asking my husband to take me back there (the store doesn't do mail order). Oddly, the Theo website didn't mention that their chocolate is available through Amazon. It's less expensive at Amazon, as well, plus it qualifies for free shipping. The 45% cacao milk chocolate bar comes in a flat, 3-oz bar, similar to a regular Hershey bar. It's scored into 6 horizontal sections. The candy itself has a slightly "waxier" mouth feel than Hershey's but tastes richer. I'm happy with it, and will buy it again when my supply runs out.

(More customer reviews)Dark Chocolate with Mint flavor is one of my favorite combinations. This product has a few things on top of that in its favor: organic, and 70% dark.
The organic specification is important to me. It's one way we can "vote" with our pocketbook to help reverse the trend towards highly-mechanized, profit-driven food production.
70% dark means that this is food, not candy. The sugar is kept to a minimum, so that this can qualify as something that will not harm your health.
How is the taste? It's quite good. The dark flavor and mint are balanced well. I'm not sure it's the best mint chocolate I've ever had...I would have preferred a bit stronger mint, but I tend to like strong flavors. All in all I'm very pleased with it and the case-lot price was decent for this class of product. I would buy it again.

(More customer reviews)My dad is the chocolate eater in my family and I do intend to review his favorite chocolates soon.
This one he hasn't tried yet. I did recently. The 3.5 ounce bars are generously sized and going by the information on the package, 10 squares is a serving. I'm actually eating the bar I picked up 2 squares at a time.
This is a shade grown, fair trade chocolate. So it's pretty guilt free. It's a very nice chocolate, very milky and smooth. One you can allow to just dissolve on your tongue and it never gets grainy. The flavor has shades of bright berry in the after taste as well as the expected chocolate flavor. It's absolutely not bitter.
I suspect this will become a favorite bar for those few times I want chocolate.

(More customer reviews)Unlike other expresso chocolates, Newman's Own isn't large hunks of chopped up coffee beans, but finely ground expresso powder. Makes it much more pleasant to eat. The quality of Newman's Own chocolate is also very good. I love good chocolate and am so happy I can purchase it at Amazon in 12-packs for a cheaper price than I can get in a store.

(More customer reviews)Be careful what supplier you select. It shouldn't be Nutricity. From Amazon, the G&B bars (made in Canada) arrive promptly; I've ordered them several times and will again. My first (and last) order from Nutricity, however, arrived a month after the order had been placed, and then only after an inquiry to the seller. The bars were dry, stale and hard, the color of cocoa powder rather than chocolate bars. Although the bars still had 10 months to go before expiration of the sell-by date on the wrappers, they were a disgrace to the good name of G&B. It may be that they had been stored improperly, or that the single paper wrapper used in the Italian plant (the Canadian maker uses an inner foil wrap) allowed too much air to get to the bars. I'll grind them for hot chocolate, but they are unsuitable for eating directly and very similar in quality to the bars one sometimes finds at mass-market outlets that resell overstock from other retailers.
