(More customer reviews)I love the taste of these mints! The dark chocolate is perfect, not too sweet or bitter. The mint is not over powering. I used to purchase them at the super market but they stopped carrying them so I was happy to see Amazon offer them at a reasonable price. 12 tins will last me awhile so I'm hoping they will be available when I run out.

In the nineteenth century, Smith & Company was purchased by Callard & Bowser, Inc., and in the twentieth century Callard & Bowser was acquired by the American firm Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company. But, through it all, Altoids have survived, a never-ending tradition of excellence!
Yep, these are them, the one and only, the original celebrated curiously strong peppermints! Yeah, these are great little mints! They pack quite a punch, blowing a cool sensation up your nose and down your throat, and freshening your breath. These are the peppermint kings, so if you are not a huge peppermint fan, then you might want to give them a skip. But, if you do like peppermint, then open up a tin of Altoids, and enjoy!

These little babies pack a punch, in fact they are so strong that the first few times you try them, you may even notice a slight burn on your tongue.
The tin is very small and fits perfect in a pocket or purse.

(More customer reviews)So...I walk into a candy shop somewhere in Gotham (meaning, for me, somewhere between between Brooklyn and Manhattan), wanting a tin of mints to cleanse my palate, when I come across a small tin of Altoids Simply Mint. Taken by the novelty (and wondering what the "Simply" part was about), I bought a tin...and regretted buying w fistful more of those tins. Strong enough to take the edge off a fairly-pungent meal, yet just mild enough to be truly enjoyable on their own (borderline addictive, I'd say), Simply Mint is not merely my favorite Altoids mints, but my favorite mints, period. As the previous reviewer mentioned, it's awfully good to be able to get them via Amazon, since the things are pretty thin on the ground in NYC.

Mints come in a tin just like the regular Altoids, only this one is smaller to accommodate the smaller size mints. The tin contains 50 mints in the wintergreen flavor.Altoids have a reputation of being a strong flavored mint and this carries over to the smaller size version also. These mints pack a nice portion of flavor for the size. The wintergreen flavor comes from both natural and artificial flavorings.

So, I'm very happy that my dear husband thought to look online for me. In my opinion, these are far better than the larger Altoids and I prefer the smaller tins. They have a lovely, mildly spicy flavor, freshen your breath, soothe your sore threat and taste very "natural."
