(More customer reviews)This chocolate is so sweet & yummy! My husband is crazy for it! He loves to put it in the 'fridge before eating it. The caramel inside is thin & slightly runny. I find this preferable over the thick too chewy stuff that glues onto your teeth! It can be messy if you like to nibble your treats! You kinda have to pop the whole piece in your mouth. If you don't like really sweet sugary chocolate, then you might want to consider a different chocolate than this. If super sweet is your delight, then you will be in sweet tooth heaven!
A billion times better than the non organic garbage that you can get so cheap at the grocery store. You pay more & you can taste the difference. Real ingredients equal real flavor.

I usually pick out the purple and pink ones for myself (I'm so selfish) and distribute the rest during Valentine's Day. They can be "disposed of" quickly, unlike a Gobstopper that must be sucked on for about 10 minutes before it's safe to gobble up.

(More customer reviews)I usally buy the smmall bags of jelly babies at a local Scottish import store here in the town where I live, but every once in a blue moon, they would have the cartons. Each carton is about equivalent to maybe three or possibly even four bags of jelly babies but at a slightly better price and the carton is much more convienent-- or at least, I think so.
These cartons are definitely worth buying if one is a lover of jelly babiess. It's just too bad that they are so hard to come by. When they become available, buy them and stock up because these cartons will go quickly. :-)

However, the shipping fee of $11.99 for this small order is outrageous and I know that Amazon has negotiated very good rates with their selected courier carrier and I cannot believe that the shipping and handling fee is as high as the cost that is being passed on to your customers. This fee seems to be a new source of revenue for on-line companies...I wanted four boxes of these sweets and chose not to purchase this number since the S & H fee was even more expensive.

The story of the birth of Turkish Delight, begins in the late 1700s, when Ali Muhiddin Haci Bekir, a confectioner to the imperial court in Istanbul, tried to create a soft candy for the sultan. The sultan complained that the hard candy would crack his teeth. The confectioner mixed water, sugar corn starch, cream of tartar, and rosewater. He cooked it up, poured the mixture into a flat pan coated in almond oil, and let it cool. He then sprinkled it with powdered sugar, and cut it into bite size pieces. The sultan was pleased, and Turkish Delight was born.
