That's why, for this past Halloween, I bought some to hand out to the trick-or-treaters. Sadly, I didn't get a single one. (Which is too bad, because that's part of the fun of Halloween.) So, I was stuck with two bags of Pop Rocks. What to do?
After some thought, I decided to bring them around to my friends... and other random people I came across. I stuffed all of them into a purse, and did a little reverse trick-or-treating. Everyone loved them. I heard so many stories about what they liked to do with Pop Rocks when they were kids. Most people just ate them straight up, or did them like shots. (You know, swallow them all as soon as possible, and let them pop in your throat.) A few even did the Pop Rocks and root beer combination. (All of those people are still alive, so no worries.)
The result was a Halloween filled with childhood memories, and lots of snaps and crackles. It was proof that Pop Rocks aren't just for kids. They're also fun for adults. Enjoy!
