(More customer reviews)I used to get these all the time for special recipes and then every single store stopped carrying them. If you want chocolate on your toffee, try the heath bits. Once in desperation, I tried substituting them for the pure skor toffee bits. The recipe was not nearly as good that way. I think I will try storing them in the freezer to prolong shelf life.
Follow-up: These have lasted fabulously in the freezer in an airtight container. Good thing too because it takes a long time to go through 6 lbs of toffee bits! I take out as much as I need for the recipe and return the rest to the freezer immediately. I haven't tried thawing out the whole bit because I would be worried about the condensation making them stick together. I suppose if that happened you could always refreeze or let them dry if they will and then stick them in a heavy duty zip top bag and take a rolling pin to them.
